Fintech firm Credit Benchmark has hired a senior executive from Nasdaq as its chief product and technology officer in New York.
Nick Pastoressa has joined the London-headquartered company and will immediately lead both product strategy and development.
The firm said it is expanding its suite of data and analytic solutions to a growing user base.
At Nasdaq, Pastoressa had been global head of product and platform for the company’s corporate solutions division since 2014.
Prior to that, he led product development for the investment management, investment banking and sell-side research businesses of Thomson Reuters.

It aggregates internal lending risk assessments and uses them to devise ratings.

Credit Benchmark’s co-founder and executive chairman, Donal Smith, was chief executive of Data Explorers, a securities lending analytics business acquired by IHS Markit in April 2012.
Mark Faulkner, also co-founder of Credit Benchmark, launched Data Explorers in the 90s after spotting an opportunity to provide customers in the securities financing industry with independent analytics.
