Donal Smith

Co-Founder and Executive Chairman

Prior to co-founding Credit Benchmark, Donal was CEO of Data Explorers (acquired by IHS Markit in April 2012). Previously he held roles at Thomson Reuters including CEO of Thomson Financial’s businesses in Europe and Asia. He has previously been CEO of FT.com and Director of Electronic Publishing for the Financial Times Group and Executive Chairman of BISAM S.A. He is currently Chairman of PIRUM Ltd and a non-executive director of Rimes Technologies and Web Financial Group. Donal holds a BA in the History of Art and English Literature from University College Dublin.
