Accelerate Credit Risk Insights Across Your Workflow With Credit Benchmark's Latest API Enhancements

Accessing credit risk data should fit around your workflow — not the other way around. In Credit Benchmark’s June 2026 product webinar, Product Manager Ryan Hoffman introduced the latest enhancements to the platform’s integration capabilities, showing how firms can now embed Credit Benchmark insights directly into their existing processes with far less friction.

What was covered

The webinar focused on four key areas: improved workflow-integrated entity matching, enhanced embedded analytics capabilities, streamlined monitoring and reporting workflows, and easier integration into existing systems. Together, these updates make it faster to get from raw entity lists to actionable credit risk insights — whether you’re working in onboarding, portfolio monitoring, or internal risk reporting.

A smarter approach to entity matching

One of the most practical upgrades is the enhanced entity name matching service. Rather than manually identifying Credit Benchmark IDs for each entity in your portfolio, the API now handles this programmatically — using a machine learning process to match company names against the Credit Benchmark universe with a confidence score. For teams managing large or frequently changing reference pools, this alone can eliminate significant manual effort each month.

Analytics built for dashboards and reporting

Five new portfolio analytics endpoints mean firms no longer need to build credit risk logic from scratch. Rating distributions, portfolio trend lines, and moving entity alerts are all available out of the box — ready to power internal dashboards and recurring reports without custom development work.

Accessible to technical and non-technical users alike

A standout theme of the webinar was accessibility. Hoffman demonstrated live how AI tools like Claude can read Credit Benchmark’s API documentation and generate working data pull scripts with no coding required. For analysts who have previously relied solely on the web application, this opens the door to automated, repeatable workflows that previously felt out of reach.

Getting started

API access is not enabled by default, so users looking to explore these capabilities should reach out to the Credit Benchmark support team to request access. Full documentation — covering authentication, data dictionaries, entity matching, and analytics endpoints — is available at docs.creditbenchmark.com.

Whether your team is focused on onboarding, monitoring, or risk reporting, Credit Benchmark’s enhanced API is designed to meet you where you are and get insights into your workflow faster.
