Platform & Delivery: APIs, Apps, Cloud and Integrations
The operational layer of the platform — the channels and integrations that put Credit Benchmark data and analytics into production workflows.
The operational
layer
Platform & Delivery is how the dataset and analytics reach production workflows. The right channel depends on whether users need an interactive application, spreadsheet access, programmatic integration, scheduled file delivery, or the data inside an environment they already run. Every channel carries the same consensus data and analytics, with implementation documentation alongside.
Delivery Channels
API
What it is: Programmatic access to Credit Benchmark matching and analytics data through a REST API.
How it works: Authenticate with a JWT token, resolve entity names to Credit Benchmark identifiers, then query the consensus analytics endpoints — raw entity data, credit breakdowns by facet, rating distributions, aggregate trends and entity rating changes. An interactive sandbox and OpenAPI specifications are provided, and entitled fields are discoverable via the columns endpoint.
Best for: Embedding consensus ratings, PD and analytics directly into internal systems, models, dashboards and credit engines.
Web App
What it is: An interactive web application for working with entities, portfolios, analytics and downloads.
How it works: Analyze single names (Entity), screen the universe with saved filters (Screener), group and monitor names with alerts and PortfolioLens reports (My Portfolios), view sector and geographic indices (Aggregates), benchmark internal ratings against consensus (Client Analytics), and collect generated files and reports (Inbox).
Best for: Desk-level lookup, monitoring, screening, benchmarking and ad hoc downloads without writing code.
Excel Add-In
What it is: Credit Benchmark data inside Excel workbooks.
How it works: Installed into Excel and authenticated by login or single sign-on, it pulls consensus ratings, PD and analytics directly into spreadsheets.
Best for: In-house pricing models, portfolio tools and ad hoc analysis where the team already works in Excel.
SFTP & CB Secure
What it is: File-based delivery — automated SFTP transfer and browser-based CB Secure upload and download.
How it works: Scheduled or automated file exchange over SFTP, or manual transfer through the browser-based CB Secure channel; Credit Benchmark can also connect to a client’s existing secure file process.
Best for: Recurring feed-file delivery into internal systems and data lakes, and secure bulk exchange.
Integration Services
Matching as a Service
What it is: A managed service that resolves a client’s entity names to Credit Benchmark identifiers (CBIDs) and returns a matched feed file.
How it works: Credit Benchmark resolves free-text company names to CBIDs through a three-stage pipeline — candidate retrieval, feature engineering and ML-based match scoring — prioritizing identifiers such as LEI and ticker where available; unmatched names can be sent for manual review.
Best for: Onboarding and maintaining large entity lists and aligning a client’s universe to the consensus dataset before integration.
Cloud & Marketplace Integrations
For teams that want Credit Benchmark data inside an environment they already run, the data is available through major cloud and marketplace channels — with no separate pipeline to build:
Cloud
- Snowflake — Credit Benchmark data delivered directly into your Snowflake account.
- Databricks — data shared into your Databricks workspace via Delta Sharing.
- AWS — delivery through AWS Data Exchange.

Access &
Authentication
Access paths cover current subscribers, prospective customers and SSO-managed firms. The Web App and Excel Add-In support single sign-on (SSO); authentication and access guidance sits in the documentation.
